Renaissance Coton de Tulear goes to Manhattan!!

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by Animal Planet and asked if I would come to NYC with an adult dog or two... and possibly a puppy or two....  for a series they call "Dogs 101"  I told this very nice lady I would call her back later to let her know.  She said they like to ask code of ethics breeders as they don't want to promote puppy mills.  I went immediately online to discover that I've seen this show called "Dogs 101" on a few occasions and thought it was nicely done.  They research all about the breed, where it originated and things like ease of grooming, health and even if they are good with children.  Long story short, I called my good friend Linda Dolan of Diamond Cotons in RI (she recently retired from breeding), and asked if she would like to attend and bring a dog... so she brought her lovely Eva and I brought Kazaam of Cotonnelle, my new boy bred by Valerie Ford.  Kazaam is an International Champion and I think a perfect example of the breed.  Bred to the FCI standard...I also brought 2 of my pups and off we went fighting the traffic through the streets of Manhattan dodging yellow taxi cabs along the way.
The shoot was on a white background..this is where they tell the facts of the breed..Kazaam was such a good boy and followed direction like the little pro that he is.  Standing, sitting...sitting on a red chair...he also posed with 2 other rare breed dogs...Eva later accompanied Kazaam on the chair and the two touched noses...very cute...then it was time for the puppies...I'll save that for the imagination..but they were really adorable :)  It was great fun!  Linda's daughter Jen and my daughter Justine made the trip even more fun...Two very lovely young ladies.
Below is Kazaam sitting in his car seat enjoying the view.... and every now and then sitting down inside of the seat and rolling all around..oh sure, mess up your hair..haha

Imagine Sully landing a jet in this!!  Truly a miracle!!
Justine looking oh so happy...not really...she had to go to the bathroom reallyyyyy bad.

Look for the Coton de Tulear on Animal Planet, "Dogs 101" in the Fall.
Renaissance Coton de Tulear signing off.  Have a great night!

Do you know when your episode will air? I was just looking at the schedule, and I don't see Cotons listed in the final three episodes of this year.
