Therapy Hopeful

I would just like to share an email I've just received from a very happy owner of one of Taylor's and Koda's babies from her first litter.  It's so important not to push a puppy with training, and if done at a healthy pace such as this owner has done, these dogs can do anything. That is KEY...the most important thing is to socialize them..get them out meeting and greeting everyone...it's not hours and hours of training that make a dog a good therapy dog....it's the socialization...once socialized properly, these dogs can all become wonderful therapy dogs.  It's not quantity, it's quality training using only positive reinforcement. You need to move at a pace that doesn't stress your pup. You'll have plenty of time to achieve therapy status with your pup, just take your time and enjoy it..HAVE FUN WITH IT......PATIENCE IS KEY!

Today Samson had his evaluation for the good dog foundation therapy dog training program to see if he (we) can take the course and he passed with flying colors so as soon as they put the next class together we will enroll! It is 5 weeks long and then he will be certified.
Just wanted to share this with you. He continues to delight and enchant.

Signed:  Samson and Family
