We conduct a thorough interview, per telephone, with all interested families. We want our puppies to go to the perfect forever homes. We are thankful that all of our puppies thus far are in the most loving homes and are members of such wonderful families.

We are expecting a litter the end of March. We have 4 deposits for this litter. We are also expecting 1-2 litters to be born in June and another litter to be born in July. If you are added onto my list now, and if there are more than 4 puppies, you can adopt a puppy from this litter. Otherwise, you will be moved to the later litters in the order that deposits are received. I have only started taking deposits 2 days ago, and as you can see, our puppies are sold before they are even conceived in most cases.

Here at Renaissance Coton de Tulear, we believe that a responsible breeder will secure a number of homes (reservations), for their puppies, before they are even conceived. We personally feel it is irresponsible to breed many litters each year, and on top of that, breeding these litters without having found wonderful families in advance. We have 3-4 litters per year and our puppies are sold before they are even conceived.

Also, we have noticed in our searches that there are Coton de Tulear Code of Ethics Breeders who are not advertising all of their dogs on their websites. We don't quite understand why some breeders are misleading the public on just how many dogs they own. Please ask your breeder if they are representing their kennel honestly by displaying all of their dogs on their websites.

My apologies for my main website being down for a day or two. Some people have nothing better to do I guess.
Since I'm here, a quick update...Nevaeh's pups are going for their 8 week check up tomorrow. They will begin leaving for their new homes next weekend. I know they will make wonderful companions and family members. They really are great little puppies. Olive's pups will be leaving on the following weekend. What will we do? Maybe sleep a little later in the morning :) We will miss them though.
Since Chyna came into season 2 months early she was skipped again. Ally looks like she will come into season any day now..she will most likely be bred. She is 2 years old and it will be her first litter. All of her health testing has been done and will be sent into OFA and CERF as soon as I find a little time to do so. Nikita also passed all of her health tests. Niki is still young. She will be 2 in August. Possibly puppies for her later next year.

It's been very, very busy here at Renaissance Cotons, so I'm not sure how many more pictures will be coming until after the new year. This past weekend, we held our "Puppy Open House" for the expectant parents. It was so nice meeting everyone and it was fun playing with the puppies. Although the puppies did poop out for a good amount of the time and slept like babies that night, it was fun just the same.

The puppies will begin to go to their forever homes the 1st weekend in January.

For those of you that will be getting your puppy soon, there is some information on vaccinating your pup inside this booklet. I also give a detailed page of vaccination protocol that you are asked to bring to your Vet.

I would like you all to take a few minutes of your time to read this article. It is about over vaccinating your pup. We are adamantly against over vaccinating as well as vaccinating yearly. This article will tell you a little bit about what can happen if you let your Vet talk you into vaccinations that the pup does not need.

Nevaeh's pups graduated to the big pen yesterday. A lot more room to explore.

They are in the family room and Olive's will be graduating to a larger pen this coming weekend...she'll be residing in the living room. Those pups will be enjoying the Christmas tree once it goes up. We get real trees so no day after Thanksgiving decorating here.

Nevaeh's puppies will be 3 weeks old tomorrow, and Olive's puppies are 2 weeks old today. All 13 puppies are spoken for. Thank you everyone for your inquiries. Even though we weren't expecting 13 puppies out of only 2 litters, our puppies are usually sold before they are born. We feel very, very strongly that a reputable breeder will have at least 3 reservations per litter... that means deposits in hand, before the girl should even be bred. We will see all of our future puppy families at the "Puppy Open House" on Dec 18th for an afternoon of playing with..and socializing the puppies.

To my puppy families...my mac email is acting up for some strange reason, so check this blog daily for the most up to date information. Plus, I have my new Canon Rebel SLR T3 now... so look out!

Both moms are doing great...loving and tending to their puppies. All the males are spoken for but there are a couple of females still available. We certainly didn't expect 2 very large litters...although we welcome them with open arms and many poop bags.

The puppies are still in their high riser roverpen in the downstairs spare bedroom where we all sleep together. They are pretty quiet during the night.... it's Mom that wakes us up wanting to take her potty breaks in the wee hours of the morning. This weekend they will be moved into bigger quarters in the family room where they will spend time with our 11 week old new additions from Olive and Koda. Izzy and Jackson will have lots of fun showing the younger pups how to be a bad puppy, no doubt.

We are keeping our fingers crossed for these 2 little ones. To keep our numbers down and to continue producing beautiful and happy little puppies, we only keep the best of the best. Sometimes they turn out and sometimes they don't. Ahhh the trials and tribulations of a breeder.

Shiloh is now owned and loved by Rinske Tuinstra from the kennel of Colourful White, located in The Netherlands. Rinske has some really beautiful dogs and is a wonderful groomer. My Nikita is of Rinske's breeding and we love her to death. Ally loves her especially.

Pictured below are Shiloh with her Mommy Rinske after Shiloh won Best Puppy. At 3 months of age and being the youngest puppy there, Shiloh placed #4 for Best in Show puppy. We are so proud of Rinske and Shiloh.

Nevaeh had her puppies early this morning. In just about 2 hours she gave birth to 5 all white puppies. Three boys and 2 girls. This is the same breeding that produced my beautiful girl Allure (ALLY). It was definitely worth repeating. The very handsome Kazaam is the sire.

Because we only take 3-4 deposits per litter, we have 1 male still available that will be ready to go sometime in June. We take breeding very seriously and don't breed litters just to have puppies without securing a few homes in advance. This is the only ethical thing to do as a breeder. Beware of breeders that are having litter after litter and are not securing their puppies future forever homes first. If you see that they have older puppies not spoken for, and are still expecting more litters, this is a red flag.

We health test all of our breeding dogs, and you can find these results on the OFA and CERF websites, or ask us and we will send you the link. You should be asking your breeder if they are experienced and if they have kept up to date on the health of their puppies over the years. How many litters have they had? It's important that you seek out an experienced breeder. A breeder that takes their dogs to shows to see what Cotons "should" look like. Otherwise, they are most likely kennel blind. If we didn't attend the AACDT national specialty in NJ a few years ago, of which I was a founder of, we would have never spotted Kazaam. Kazaam was running back and forth in a fellow breeder's hotel room and up until that time, I have never seen a dog move with such ease. He is producing himself beautifully and we would like to thank Valerie Ford of Cotonnelle Cotons for such a beautiful boy. You cannot imagine how many Cotons are out there with level toplines, bad tailsets, too large, etc. Sadly, these dogs are being bred.

Here are a few pics of Ally at 13 months old. If you think her coat looks great now, you should see it after she is freshly bathed. Although with Ally, you'd have to take the pics immediately after a bath, or she'd be a mess in no time at all. My little tomboy.

The last of Chyna's puppies left today to his loving forever home. Two of the puppies went to wonderful show homes in Canada and The Netherlands, and two puppies went to their wonderful forever families. We feel blessed to be able to provide a great little companion dog to families that will love and enjoy their Coton antics for many years to come. Now it's time to move Olive's 6 puppies into the family room where they will be in the center of all the hustle and bustle. They also learn to watch basketball with Bob while listening to squeaky sneakers in surround sound. ugh

Below are a few pictures of Shiloh after her bath. These pics were taken just before she left for her new home in The Netherlands. It was great to see Rinske of Kennel Colourful White again. She brought us Nikita this past October and she was able to see her again. It seems that Nikita remembered her first Mommy, as Rinske was practically being kissed and licked to death!

The pups are almost 2 weeks old now. They opened their eyes at about 10 days which is early, and they are even getting up on their legs and trying to walk. They seem very advanced for their age. They are all gaining weight nicely. Olive is a wonderful Mommy.
