♥Kazaam is Top Dog In Canada for 2009♥

Yesterday, I was informed by Kazaam's breeder Valerie Ford of Cotonnelle in Canada...that Kazaam was #1 Coton de Tulear in the The Rare Breed Club of South Western Ontario.  He was also #1 Top dog in group and #6 Top dog overall for 2009. The South Western Rare Breed Club is the largest rare breed club in Canada.
Valerie did a great job showing Kazaam and we are just so proud of both of them.  Kazaam is not only sweet, he's also very beautiful.

♥Another Blog Update♥

I've added some additional pages to my blog to make it easier to maneuver around.  I hope that I don't have to look at Html for about the next year.  LOL  I will be busy in the next days or weeks getting each page individualized.  So look at the very top of the page and underneath the header for buttons that will take you from one page to the next.  It's been great fun re-doing my blog from the ground up. Element by element and layer by layer, using paid for digital scrapbooking kits from some very talented people.

I have also started another blog with blog backgrounds that I've designed.  Again, using element upon element and layer upon layer.  You can find that blog on my sidebar or just click here:

Lynn's Blog Designs

If there is something that catches your eye, (I will be adding more), let me know and I can give you step by step instructions.  I do not charge for these because I just enjoy doing them.  You will have to display the proper credits on your blog though in fairness to the scrap designers and myself.
You can email me for more information.  The blog designs are original so you won't see yourself coming and going like with some of the other ones out there.

I'll also be working on a new look for my website.  Very Vintage :)

The Coton de Tulear and AKC

It seems that some Coton breeders are hell bent on bringing the Coton de Tulear
to AKC recognition. The Coton de Tulear was brought here in the 70's and
has remained a rare breed dog. The AKC is in bed with the puppy mills. They run on
the money they receive from registrations. Almost like a Wall Street kind of deal.
The people that run it are making gobs of cash. They really don't care about the dogs.
They are present at auctions, handing out registration papers to all the puppy mill
puppies. Many very ill.

As a breeder, I've received many a phone call asking why my pups cost more than
some of the $300 pups they are finding on the internet..I just want to scream,
"HEY PEOPLE, HAVE YOU EVER WATCHED OPRAH"??? "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD"
The Coton de Tulear breeders that are fighting to ruin our breed are doing it for...well
are you ready for this? They are doing it because there will be more shows in their
area. Huh? I won't even go there. I just think that if you are looking on my website
or blog, you are interested in possibly bringing a Coton puppy into your home.
BUT, before you go any further...please watch this video..so you will understand
why you would never buy a puppy from a pet store or puppy mill.
One more thing...when you are interviewing breeders, ask them if they voted yes
for AKC...although they may not answer you truthfully, you will certainly know when
they start to register their dogs with AKC and bring their dogs to prance around in the
show rings of AKC shows.
Renaissance Cotons will NEVER register their dogs or puppies with the AKC. We will
not dirty our hands and be involved in this in any way. We will not mingle our
pedigrees with those puppy mill pups that are probably not even 100% Coton.
Regardless, these dogs live a horrible and painful life and Renaissance Cotons, I repeat,
will NEVER be involved in this.
Renaissance Cotons will re-publish this post often for all the see.

♥Renaissance Little Miss Sunshine♥

Olive is our little Tomboy...she gets very upset if one of the older dogs tells her to behave. She barks and barks as if to say, "I'm the baby and I can do anything I want"
